Dimensional Tolerances
Controlled Tolerances in Compliance with ISO 8062-3
Dimensional accuracy is a core part of our quality commitment.
We apply standardized linear dimensional tolerances according to the DCTG class.
Our Reference Classes
We use two main tolerance classes depending on the casting process:
DCTG 7: for parts cast in metal shell molds
DCTG 10: for parts cast in sand molds, especially prototypes
These tolerances apply to raw casting dimensions, before any machining.
Why Are These Tolerances Important?
Functional safety of assemblies
Compatibility with machined or standard components
Cost control: appropriate tolerances = fewer rejects
Series reliability: reproducible tolerances across thousands of parts
Need a Specific Tolerance?
Our technical teams can work with you to assess:
The desired functional fit
Positional, parallelism, or coaxiality tolerances (as per drawing)
The level of precision required for post-machining or assembly
We help you align your functional requirements with our specific casting constraints (draft angles, radii, wall thickness).
